Essay about Merdeka Day Celebration at your school

     WELCOME TO MY BLOG💘

It was in the morning. The sun was shinning very brightly. The air was warm and fresh too. There were many birds chirping happily just like me. I saw many butterflies were flying on the sky. The scenery was picturesque. Last week, it was the Independence Day on 31'st August 2020.

I was walking happily to my school. Once I reached my school, I saw the school was decorated with the National flags and colourful balloons. They were many people busy preparing for the Independence Day celebration. Futhermore, at 9.00 a.m. the teacher in-charge asked all the students to line up at the school compound accordingly. There were about hundred students who involved in the celebration.

Moreover, it was held at the school compound. All the students were eagerly waiting for the moment. I was very elated as my teacher chose me to participate in the celebration. A few minutes later, we had some briefing from our principal. Then, we sang the National anthem, state anthem and "Jalur Gemilang". I sang the songs with full of spirit. Other than that, we also had some fun activities. For instance, colouring, music chair games and drawing about the Independence Day. My buddies and I grabbed the golden opportunity t take part in colouring contest and the other competitions.

Additionally, the teacher announced the winners. I was suprised that I got first place in the colouring contest. I was over the moon and enjoyed the day peacefully. We must celebrate Independence Day is to thank and appreciate the soldiers who had sacrified their life for us. Apart from that, we can also strengthen the relationship among us and know each other.

In the nutshell, Independence Day should celebrate every year as the sigh of thank. I hope that I will take part in many activities next year. Finally, my friend and I went to home joyfully. I ended my day with thousand and one memories.
